Patient Care Aide

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Aide to join our team at BC Cancer. As a Patient Care Aide, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct care to patients, including vital sign measurement, cleaning and stocking of treatment areas, and escorting patients to and from exam rooms.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, such as changing into and out of gowns, and provide emotional support and comfort.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Perform general service duties, including answering phones, photocopying documents, and delivering items to patients and staff.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge in patient care and cultural safety.
- Grade 10 completion
- Graduation from a recognized Nursing Assistant Program or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Registered with BC Care Aide Community Health Worker Registry.
