We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Queen's University. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care: Administer medications, observe and record medication's therapeutic and side effects, prepare patients for surgery, and record medication's therapeutic and side effects observations in patient files.
- Vital Signs and Monitoring: Take vital signs and monitor patients' progress, evaluating the effectiveness of nursing interventions and consulting with the healthcare team as needed.
- Operating Room and Instrument Maintenance: Clean and sterilize the operating room and instruments to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients.
- Education and Support: Provide safety and health education to individuals and their families, promoting healthy habits and wellness.
- Education: Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work.
- Experience: 5 years or more of experience in a similar role.
