Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Associate to join our team at Fastenal. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will play a critical role in supporting business-to-business operations by administering procurement, sourcing, and quoting functions that meet the needs of our customers and drive business success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage branch inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste
  • Administer procurement functions, including purchase orders and backorder management
  • Estimate and quote prices, and source products to meet customer needs
  • Coordinate resources to respond to customer supply chain needs
  • Support accounts receivable activities and make deliveries as needed
  • Perform other duties as needed to ensure branch success

Requirements:

  • 18 years of age or older, with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Possess a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing, Sales, or a related field, or have relevant customer service or industry experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with proficiency in computer skills
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer service-oriented, with strong math aptitude and attention to detail
  • Demonstrate strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities, with problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Lift, slide, carry, and lower packages that typically weigh 25-50 pounds, with the ability to lift up to 75 pounds
