We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at 2000 Days Pre-Kindergarten Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging environment for young children, promoting their cognitive, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Bathing, diapering, and feeding infants and toddlers
  • Leading activities through storytelling, singing, and exploring local points of interest
  • Encouraging creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
  • Guiding children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Preparing snacks and arranging rooms for lunch and rest periods
  • Observing children for signs of potential learning or behavioral issues and reporting to parents or supervisors
  • Attending staff meetings to discuss progress and challenges
  • Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with colleagues and community service providers
  • Creating a safe and healthy environment for children
  • Supervising and coordinating activities with other educators and assistants
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or non-university certificate or diploma in Early Childhood Education
  • Experience in childcare an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to lift and move children
