Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Kids U Inc. as a key member of our childcare and education team.

Job Summary:

The Early Childhood Educator will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This role requires a strong commitment to providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that fosters children's growth and learning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers and assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
  • Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records and observing children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems.
  • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings and establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants.
Requirements:
  • Child development worker (ECE level 2) certification.
  • Criminal record check.
  • Ability to multitask, work in a team environment, and maintain a high level of punctuality and dependability.
Work Environment:

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling. The ability to work in a physically demanding environment is essential.
