Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Driver Supervisor to join our team in London, Ontario. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of drivers for multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage a team of drivers for western locations
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to ensure optimal performance
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, safety regulations, and procedures
  • Work closely with drivers and dispatchers to ensure timely service to customers
  • Schedule and coordinate driver assignments, routes, and deliveries to meet operational goals and customer demands
  • Monitor driver performance, conduct regular evaluations, and implement improvement plans when necessary
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies, including safety standards and vehicle maintenance
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to driver activities, performance, and incidents

Requirements

  • AZ or DZ license preferred, roll-off or lugger experience is an asset
  • 2+ years experience in a supervisory role
  • 5+ years experience in the transportation, logistics, or solid waste industry
  • In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations, safety protocols, and compliance requirements
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage a diverse team
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a track record of making effective decisions under pressure
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office and transportation management software and technology for tracking and reporting
  • GEOTAB experience is an asset
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed, available by phone after-hours
  • Occasional travel to the US is required to support our Michigan/Ohio sites
