Electrical Engineer/FPGA Designer

Key Responsibilities:- FPGA Design: Design and implement FPGAs using VHDL/Verilog for high-speed data processing, control, and communication applications.
- FPGA Verification: Verify FPGAs using SystemVerilog and the latest object-oriented methodologies to create a flexible environment to achieve high test coverage metrics.
- Circuit Design: Develop and optimize electrical circuits for photonics systems, including analog, digital, and mixed-signal designs.
- System Integration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (optical, software, and hardware engineers) to integrate FPGA designs with broader optical systems.
- Testing and Validation: Conduct comprehensive testing and verification of FPGA designs and electrical circuits to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
- Documentation: Create detailed design documentation, test plans, and reports to support design, testing, and product lifecycle management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical, test, and firmware engineers to define system requirements and collaborate on end-to-end system architecture and implementation.
- Troubleshooting & Debugging: Analyze and debug electrical and FPGA-related issues in both simulation and real-world environments, ensuring optimized performance and quality.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience with high-speed digital design, signal integrity, and hardware debugging.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in FPGA architecture, implementation, and verification techniques.
- Strong knowledge of digital and analog circuit design, including signal processing, power management, and high-speed interfaces.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, MATLAB, or TCL for automation and testing purposes.
