TWD Technologies Ltd is seeking a highly motivated Intermediate Project Engineer/Manager to join our team in Burlington, ON. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating engineering activities on projects, as well as serving as an individual expert completing broadly defined and/or technically complex engineering assignments.
Key Responsibilities- Project Coordination: Plan and coordinate engineering activities on projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Engineering Expertise: Complete technically complex engineering assignments, utilizing your expertise in engineering disciplines such as process engineering, project controls, and project management.
- Interdisciplinary Coordination: Interface with various disciplines, including process engineering, project controls, project management, procurement, construction, vendors, and clients to ensure successful project completion.
- Process Improvement: Work closely with TWD's PMO group to ensure adherence to processes and procedures, and make recommendations for enhancements.
- Documentation and Review: Ensure that documentation and interdisciplinary coordination are carried out in accordance with contract requirements and project procedures.
- Project Monitoring: Monitor progress trends to identify potential threats to project objectives, and lead the development and execution of action plans to mitigate impact.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with various stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams, to ensure successful project completion.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage potential risks that can negatively impact project objectives.
- Quality Control: Perform quality control and quality analysis of work, and report on a regular basis to stakeholders.
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with extensive experience in an engineering discipline.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association of professional engineers is an asset.
- Background in refinery or chemical plant experience.
- 5-9 years of field project engineering/project management experience in industrial projects with multi-discipline exposure.
- FEL1/2/3 experience, understanding of project process and gated delivery model.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives/projects simultaneously, and effectively communicate goals, objectives, and accomplishments to all levels of the organization.
- Team player who promotes values of honesty, integrity, and ethical behavior.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both co-workers and customers.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Local and willing to go to site frequently.
