About the Role

L3Harris Technologies is a leading global aerospace and defense technology innovator, delivering end-to-end solutions that meet customers' mission-critical needs. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage product design integrity throughout its production life cycle, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Identify, incorporate, and coordinate changes to the product baseline, providing support to the Technical Authority.
  • Understand the cause and effect of changes affecting program schedule, quality, and cost.
  • Lead project scrums, daily production cell team meetings, and other project-related activities.
  • Prepare design stage gate review packages aligned to requirements detailed in the new product introduction company standard.
  • Present to various levels of cross-functional leadership in design reviews and business meetings.
  • Maintain project schedules and overall build schedules to meet integrated master schedule milestones and customer contract deliverables.
  • Participate in the management and/or technical management of sustaining projects, providing monthly cost and schedule updates.
  • Ensure the engineering manpower database accurately reflects the sustaining engineering demand for your projects.
  • Manage smaller-level loaded sustaining engineering activities for designated products.
  • Support the monthly RIB meetings.
  • Participate in the management and/or technical management of reliability engineering projects, providing monthly cost and schedule updates.
  • Support CSG repairs and upgrades.
  • Coach junior team members on project management/manufacturing best practices, methodologies, and lessons learned.
  • Comply with the company's Quality Management System.
Requirements
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • General understanding of electro/mechanical/optical/video systems sufficient to assess project progress and variances from plan.
  • Plan and organize work scope into a schedule of associated tasks and critical linkages.
  • Maintain baseline cost estimates, assess actual performance, and associated variances from plan.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project (or equivalent), change management practices, and production workflow, including acceptance testing and non-conformance management.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical drawing practices, bill of material structures, and basic mechanical terminology.
  • Working knowledge of electrical circuit design practices, circuit board assemblies, and basic electrical terminology.
  • Working knowledge of feedback control systems, video standards, grounding/bonding practices, and motors/potentiometers/encoders and other electro-mechanical devices.
  • Working knowledge of optical assemblies, cameras, and laser devices is an asset.
Experience and Education
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience, or
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience, or
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a project management capacity managing complex projects.
  • PMP Certification is an asset.
  • P.Eng license is an asset.
  • Experience presenting to executive and/or senior leadership.
  • Must have a well-rounded project management background with experience in a high-tech environment.
