We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Risk Specialist to join our Insurance Management & Advisory Division (IMAD) of the Financial Risk Management Department (FRMD) at LHR Américas.
The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing risk exposures, designing strategies, and procuring insurance to protect assets and mitigate liabilities for our growing company.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize potential losses and maximize returns.
- Analyze and critique risk allocation, indemnity, insurance, and other related contract provisions.
- Negotiate and implement insurance and reinsurance placement structures, including captive or alternative finance and transfer mechanisms.
- Develop and advise on the implementation of risk and insurance policy and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in insurance, risk management, or a related field from a recognized program.
- Professional certification in insurance or risk management, such as ACII, CMIRM, SIRM, or CPCU.
- At least 12 years of experience in the oil & gas, petrochemical industry, or a major corporate organization.
- Significant relevant corporate risk and insurance expertise, preferably in the energy and petrochemical industry sector.
- Competitive monthly base salary aligned with company employees with similar skills.
- Monthly over base salary - 25% of monthly base salary.
- Benefits supplement - 20% of monthly base salary, increasing to 25% after 3 years, 30% after 6 years, and 35% after 12 years.
- Severance package with a 2-year vest period.
- Employment tax benefits for employees who choose to separate themselves from their 'home country' for income tax purposes.
- Employee Share Purchase Plan (ESPP) with a maximum purchase equal to 10% monthly base pay and a 20% share discount.
- Incentive plan based on performance, approximately 1.8x monthly base salary.
- Travel allowance and vacation & paid holidays.
- Medical/Dental plan and Educational Assistance Plan (EAP).
- Settling in allowance for new employees.
