Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer I

At Lyft, we're passionate about building software to solve problems at massive scale. Our Infrastructure team is responsible for ensuring the operational health of our products and platforms, and we're looking for a talented Infrastructure Engineer I to join our team.

About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer I to join our team and help us build and maintain our infrastructure platforms. As an Infrastructure Engineer I, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and operating our infrastructure systems, including monitoring, logging, and alerting. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability and performance of our systems, and collaborate with our engineering teams to enhance our observability and meet developers' needs.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and operate infrastructure systems, including monitoring, logging, and alerting
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability and performance of our systems
  • Work with our engineering teams to enhance our observability and meet developers' needs
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to incidents to mitigate customer-impacting events
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience working on teams responsible for software development, automation, and systems engineering
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a relevant discipline
  • Proficiency in creating production-ready code in one or more high-level languages, such as Go or Python
  • Experience using monitoring, alerting, and logging systems such as Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, and Telegraph
