Cloud Analyst Job Description

Nexus Systems Group Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Analyst to join our team. As a Cloud Analyst, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure, scalable, and robust cloud infrastructure solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support application development and deployment needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions using GCP services such as Compute Engine, App Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Functions, and BigQuery.
  • Migrate existing on-premises applications and services to GCP, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Monitor cloud environments, analyze performance metrics, and implement enhancements to meet scalability and cost-efficiency goals.
  • Automate cloud operations and deployment processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Ensure compliance with security and data protection regulations by implementing and managing cloud security tools and best practices.
  • Collaborate with development teams to architect cloud-native solutions that are optimized for GCP.
  • Provide technical guidance and support for cloud-related issues to IT and development teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and GCP features to continuously improve cloud infrastructure and operations.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Proven track record of designing, deploying, and managing applications on GCP, including experience with GCP services such as Compute Engine, App Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Functions, and BigQuery.
  • 5+ years of experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, and IAM best practices.
  • Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.

  • Previous experience working in an Agile environment.

Education & Certificates:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
