Job Summary

Nation Health Centre is seeking a part-time or full-time Physiotherapist to provide physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and care to patients in the Nation community and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate and manage physiotherapy assessments and treatments to restore movement and function, and manage pain.
  • Develop personalized exercise programs to improve range of motion, strength, endurance, flexibility, and balance.
  • Administer electrotherapy, prescribe and educate clients on the use of mobility aids, assistive devices, and other equipment.
  • Care coordinate and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
  • Client care planning, charting, care conferences, discharge, and transition planning.
  • Oversee and coordinate the roles and functions of Physiotherapy Support Personnel, in conjunction with the broader care team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy.
  • Registration with the College of Physiotherapy of Ontario.
  • CPR certification.
  • ADP certification or willingness to become certified preferred.
  • Strong physical assessment and treatment planning skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, yet collaboratively as a member of a team.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • A commitment to best practices, quality, and client-centered care.
  • 2-3 years clinical practice experience preferred.
  • Experience with neuro and vestibular rehabilitation an asset.
  • Bilingual (French and English) considered an asset.
