About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Ontario Public Service. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend lifespan.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions and issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment and machinery meet quality standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and testing.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: Experience an asset, or equivalent experience.
Work Environment

You will be working in a fast-paced environment with a variety of equipment and machinery. You will be required to work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.

Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands: Handling heavy loads, physically demanding, bending, crouching, kneeling, standing for extended periods.
  • Work Environment: Correctional facility, machinery installation, maintenance, service, repair, machine set-up.
