About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Ontario Public Service. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Experience: A diploma or certificate in a related field, or equivalent experience, is required.
  • Work Setting: You will work in a fast-paced environment, installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery and equipment.
  • Tasks: Your duties will include reading and interpreting blueprints, maps, and specifications, as well as performing tasks such as machine set-up and correction.
  • Certifications and Licenses: A First Aid Certificate is required.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: You will work with power tools and hand tools, and have experience with equipment and machinery.
  • Security and Safety: You will be required to undergo a criminal record check.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: The role requires handling heavy loads, standing for extended periods, and working under pressure.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential.
  • Experience: Experience in a related field is an asset.
