Vancity is seeking a highly skilled Test Engineer I to join our team. As a Test Engineer I, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our software applications.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the quality of our software applications.
- Analyze requirements and create test scenarios to validate the functionality of our software applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and product management, to ensure that our software applications meet the required quality standards.
- Identify and report defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior team members.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software quality assurance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in software quality assurance, preferably in a financial industry setting.
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks, such as TOSCA.
- Proficient in SQL and data analytics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Experience with Temenos T24 banking system.
- Experience with online and mobile banking testing.
- Experience leading quality assurance teams.
- Experience with API testing.
- Experience with performance and load testing.
- Experience with establishing test environments and data requirements.
