The OpportunityWe are seeking a talented Software Engineer I to join our Cloud Infrastructure team in Vancouver, BC. As a key member of our engineering group, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of development teams and contribute to the design, development, and testing of applications in accordance with established standards.
As a co-op student with Planview, you will gain valuable real-world experience, develop your skills, and learn more about software development in a SaaS organization. You will be supported in further developing your skills and have the chance to learn more about DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and platform engineering.
What You'll Do- Leverage Planview's private Azure OpenAI resources to assist and augment your learning and productivity.
- Design, develop, and test applications in accordance with established standards.
- Participate in peer reviews of source code.
- Analyze, reproduce, and resolve infrastructure and application issues.
- Develop and maintain automation tools, including release automation and infrastructure automation for both on-site and cloud assets.
- Develop, test, and maintain internal and customer-facing web applications.
- Evaluate best-of-breed tools that can add value, efficiency, and optimization to our operations.
- Contribute to platform engineering initiatives and DevSecOps initiatives.
- Prompt engineering skills.
- Linux systems administration expertise.
- Bash scripting skills.
- Docker build experience.
- AMI build skills using Packer.
- Runbook automation using Ansible.
- CI/CD pipeline development using Jenkins DSL and/or Pipeline, GitHub Actions.
- IaC on AWS & Azure using Terraform open-source.
- Python skills for tooling and automation.
- SCM using Git.
- ArgoCD experience.
- Java development skills, particularly SpringBoot.
- Scala knowledge.
- Machine learning skills.
- Strong knowledge of IP networks.
- Proxy and reverse-proxy/load-balancing expertise.
- Firewall configuration skills.
- HTTP protocol analysis skills.
- General knowledge of APIs, particularly RESTful.

- Expected salary range for this role: $3500 to $4700 per month.
