Job Title: Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team at Sandpiper Truck Services Ltd.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a tractor-trailer to transport goods and materials safely and efficiently. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a tractor-trailer to transport goods and materials
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
  • Load and unload goods, and secure cargo for transportation
  • Communicate with dispatch and other stakeholders to coordinate transportation schedules and routes
  • Maintain accurate records of cargo, hours of service, and fuel consumption
Requirements
  • Valid Class 1 or A Driver's License
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Bear Awareness Certification
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
