We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Optical Engines BU team at ADVA. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the design and introduction to manufacturing for high-speed, highly integrated assemblies for the optical communications market.

Key Responsibilities

* Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for optical communications products
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets manufacturing and quality requirements
* Develop and maintain design documentation and specifications
* Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues

Requirements

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
* Proficiency in CAD design software, preferably CREO and Solidworks
* Experience in opto-mechanical module MSA form factor requirements
* Knowledge in manual and automated Micro-manipulators and their applications
* Experience in performing FEA stress and thermal modeling on electro-optical assemblies
