About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at Superior Contracting and Pools. As a Construction Laborer, you will play a vital role in the construction process, ensuring that projects are completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, Unload, and Transport Materials: Safely load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Measure and Prepare for Rigging: Measure the weight of materials to prepare for rigging and hoisting operations.
  • Perform Pre-Operational Inspections: Conduct pre-operational inspections of equipment and machinery to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Read Blueprints and Determine Work Requirements: Read and interpret blueprints to determine work requirements and ensure that projects are completed according to plan.
  • Clean and Maintain Equipment: Clean and lubricate cranes, and perform routine maintenance work to ensure that equipment is in good working condition.
  • Erect and Dismantle Forms and Scaffolding: Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Operate Pile Driving Cranes: Operate pile driving cranes to drive pilings into the earth to provide support for buildings and other structures.
  • Mix, Pour, and Spread Materials: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt as required.
  • Assist with Pipeline Construction: Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction.
  • Pave and Rake Asphalt: Pave and rake asphalt as required.
  • Assist with Demolition: Assist in demolishing buildings and structures.
  • Clean and Pile Salvaged Materials: Clean and pile salvaged materials for reuse or recycling.
  • Perform Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance work to ensure that equipment and machinery are in good working condition.
  • Clean Up Chemical Spills and Contaminants: Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants at job sites.
  • Remove Rubble and Debris: Remove rubble and other debris from job sites.
  • Tend or Feed Machines: Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction.
  • Direct Traffic: Direct traffic at or near construction sites.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
