We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Framing Carpenter to join our team at Framing Carpenter. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship and attention to detail in all aspects of carpentry.
Key Responsibilities- Estimating and Planning: Prepare accurate estimates of labour and material costs for projects, taking into account building codes and regulations.
- Site Management: Schedule and coordinate work on sites, ensuring timely completion of projects and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Carpentry Skills: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Quality Control: Inspect and test work to ensure it meets the required standards and specifications.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor other workers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of projects.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
- Personal Qualities: Accurate, judgement, reliability, team player, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Work Language: English.
- Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
