Qualifications and Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Administrator to join our team at Island Health. The successful candidate will possess a Diploma in Financial Management and a minimum of three years' recent experience in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage financial and budgetary processes, including mathematical and financial calculations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, residents, families, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan, organize, and prioritize work.
  • Problem-solve, make decisions, and exercise sound judgment.
  • Operate related equipment, including software applications at an intermediate level.
  • Develop business writing skills and maintain accurate records.
Essential Skills and Abilities
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant acts, regulations, programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to understand policy and controls around the release of client/resident information.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
