About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity to join the Government of Canada - Western team as a Warehouse Manager. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our warehouse, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contract Administration
    • Administer contracts for the provision of supplies and services, ensuring that all agreements are met and that our warehouse operations run smoothly.
  • Safety and Maintenance
    • Develop and implement schedules and procedures for safety inspections and preventive maintenance programs, ensuring that our warehouse is a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Staff Supervision
    • Hire and oversee the training and supervision of staff, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Operations Planning
    • Plan and manage the facility's operations budget, ensuring that our warehouse runs efficiently and effectively.
  • Administrative Services
    • Plan, organize and direct administrative services such as signage, cleaning, maintenance, parking, safety inspections, security and snow removal, ensuring that our warehouse is well-maintained and secure.

Requirements

  • Education
    • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Conditions
    • Fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Suitability
    • Excellent oral communication skills.
    • Team player.
