About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at HOME BY IDEAL CONSTRUCTION LTD. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare building layouts in accordance with building codes, utilizing measuring tools to ensure accuracy.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials, to create high-quality structures.
  • Construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems, ensuring a strong and stable framework.
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, paying close attention to detail and quality.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial structures, including wooden structures in various settings, such as mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial plants.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with varying work sites and locations.
  • Perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, crouching, and kneeling, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
  • Excellent accuracy, reliability, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
