About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-focused Snow Plow Operator to join our winter maintenance team at Miller Paving Limited, a subsidiary of Colas Canada. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient removal of snow and ice from local roads and highways.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a combo plow unit to perform snow removal and ice control operations
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including fuel reports, safety reports, and hours of service
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment
  • Familiarize yourself with route maps and sand/salt application rates
  • Meet call-in requirements during winter storm events
Requirements
  • AZ or DZ license with a clean driver's abstract
  • Ability to respond to call-ins within thirty minutes
  • Ability to operate a loader and perform other maintenance duties
  • Ability to work assigned shifts, including evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays
  • Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to drive manual transmission
  • Previous experience in winter-works operations
  • Mechanical knowledge and ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs
  • Good understanding of MTO standards and AMC Contract Performance Requirements
