Job Summary

A postdoctoral research fellow position is available in the Building a Culture of Resilience (BACOR) lab at Dalhousie University. The successful candidate will contribute to various research projects examining the impacts of climate change and disasters across Canada and beyond.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with research design, implementation, data analysis, and publication of research findings.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research, including data interpretation and knowledge mobilization.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and industry partners.
  • Collaborate with a transdisciplinary team to advance research and policy initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of research proposals, policy briefs, and publications.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Ph.D. in a relevant field, such as social sciences, health sciences, or environmental studies.
  • Publication record in peer-reviewed journals, including as the first author.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for both professionals and the general public.
  • Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research design, data interpretation, and knowledge mobilization.
  • Project management skills and ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment and demonstrated cultural sensitivity.
