Hamilton Health Sciences is seeking a highly skilled Co-generation/Building Operator to join our Engineering Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the daily operation, monitoring, and maintenance of our power generation, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain power generation, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems
- Monitor and troubleshoot system performance
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs
- Collaborate with the Chief Engineer to ensure compliance with corporate, unit, and departmental goals and objectives
- Current Province of Ontario Stationary Engineer Third Class Certificate of Qualification
- Minimum of five years experience as a qualified Tradesperson
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency in the operation, monitoring, troubleshooting, repair, and testing of buildings with computerized building control systems
- Demonstrated ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
- Demonstrated ability to use the tools and equipment of the trade
- Ability to work in areas that are cold, hot, dusty, dirty, noisy, amongst machinery, at elevated levels, and have cramped quarters
- Ability to crawl, lift heavy items, climb, and work from ladders and scaffolding
