We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at Beryl Mining Services Ltd. in Calgary, AB.
About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity for a Geotechnical Engineer to work on various projects, including mine waste and tailings management, with a major oil and gas company. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing geotechnical engineering support, carrying out engineering data analyses, and designing large-scale construction features for mining sites.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide geotechnical engineering support to mine waste and tailings management projects
- Carry out engineering data analyses and design work for projects at stages ranging from scoping to detailed engineering and construction
- Assist with planning and supervising geotechnical subsurface investigations
- Assist with writing geotechnical reports and technical communications
- Provide support to senior geotechnical engineer/geotechnical manager
- Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (geotechnical, civil, or a related field)
- Registered as a Professional Engineer or Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T) with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA)
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with preference given to Oil & Gas (Oil Sands) experience in large civil earthworks construction mining-related projects
