We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineering Leader to take on a pivotal role in our New Product Development team within the Interventional Cardiology division.
This position will leverage both innovative and established technologies to create transformative medical devices that enhance patient care and support our mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technical decision-making for new Medical Electrical projects, including architectural design considerations that address user needs and business requirements.
- Analyze technical inputs from diverse sources to draw informed conclusions and provide recommendations.
- Develop compliance strategies for IEC and other relevant Medical Electrical safety standards.
- Create schematics, PCB layouts, BOM structures, and other design outputs using Altium Designer or similar tools.
- Simulate circuits utilizing PSpice or comparable software.
- Establish test methods, validations, protocols, and reports.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, particularly providing updates to Senior Leadership regarding project progress and risk management.
- Articulate complex ideas and project proposals persuasively in cross-functional meetings.
- Assist in selecting and initiating partnerships with external contract manufacturers and design collaborators.
- Collaborate with Process Development, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams on intricate projects.
In all endeavors, maintain a strong commitment to patient safety and product quality by adhering to established quality processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with 8-12 years of experience, or a Master's Degree with 4-8 years of experience.
- Proven ability to guide teams and make critical technical decisions with significant implications for the organization.
- Experience in medical product technical development and leadership is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with electrical schematics, layout, CAD drawing, BOM management, and manufacturing/supplier transfer processes is advantageous.
This role is classified as safety-sensitive, and candidates will be required to undergo a drug test as part of the pre-employment process.
