POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Aircraft Ground Services Coordinator is responsible for managing the execution of various aircraft service operations for airline clients while the aircraft is stationed at the gate. This role involves assessing optimal aircraft load capacities in collaboration with the airline's operational team.
Key Responsibilities:- Facilitates and endorses the local application of the SSQMS by adhering to all established policies and protocols.
- Oversees the provision of essential aircraft services including de-icing, lavatory servicing, and refueling for airline clients.
- Evaluates the permissible load of baggage, mail, cargo, and passengers based on multiple factors including aircraft type and prevailing weather conditions.
- Directs Ramp Agents on the placement and quantity of items in each aircraft compartment.
- Confirms and authorizes any aircraft servicing completed while at the gate to ensure accurate billing to the airline for services provided.
- Conducts FOD (Foreign Object Debris) inspections in the ramp area between flight operations.
- Ensures the availability of necessary ground support equipment in the ramp area and baggage handling room for forthcoming flights.
Additional Duties:
- Performs routine administrative tasks, including GSE fluid checks, equipment cleaning, and debris removal from the ramp area.
- Collaborates with the airline's operations department to facilitate timely loading and departure of aircraft.
- Informs flight crews of any conditions that may impact their flight operations.
- Acts as a liaison with the airline's local management and operational teams.
- Provides assistance to ramp agents with ground handling tasks as required.
