Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare team.

Job Summary:

The LPN will be responsible for applying the nursing process to support clients/residents/patients in achieving and maintaining their optimum level of health within a people-centered care approach. This will involve working in a collaborative interdisciplinary environment to provide quality services, quality improvement, and staff empowerment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply the nursing process to support clients/residents/patients in achieving and maintaining their optimum level of health.
  • Work in a collaborative interdisciplinary environment to provide quality services, quality improvement, and staff empowerment.
  • Exercise independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods, and action to be taken on unusual matters.
  • Contribute to program improvement and ongoing professional growth and competency relevant to practice area.
Requirements:
  • Current active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Completion of Manitoba Nephrology Nursing Program.
  • Knowledge of Professional Standards of Practice, Competency Profile for Licensed Practical Nurses in Manitoba, and Code of Ethics.
