Job Title: Full-Time Educational Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Full-Time Educational Assistant to join our team at West Meadow Elementary School in Claresholm, Alberta. As a key member of our school community, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to students with diverse needs, including those with special needs, English language learners, and students who require additional academic support.
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning, implementation, and assessment, as well as provide feedback to students on their progress.
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans to support students' academic and social growth.
  • Collaborate with teachers, other support staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in areas such as child development, special education, and classroom management.
Requirements:
  • Level 1 Early Childhood Educator or higher, or willingness to complete funded certification.
  • Current Police Information Check with a Vulnerable Sector Search.
  • Current Intervention Record Check.
  • Knowledge of child development and experience working with children ages 5-12 years old.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid First Aid certificate is an asset.
