We are seeking experienced Commercial Real Estate Attorneys to engage with local governments on issues concerning the management of commercial properties and financing of real estate projects. Candidates should possess a robust background in commercial property law and have a proven track record of managing transactions independently from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising corporate clients on various commercial real estate issues, including the acquisition and disposition of commercial properties, business acquisitions involving real estate, development projects, and compliance with regulations.
  • Drafting and negotiating leases, modifications, assignments, and renewals.
  • Supporting portfolio management and conducting due diligence assessments, including environmental evaluations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Located in Ontario with an active membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Ontario's real estate legislation.
  • Over 8 years of experience in the acquisition, sale, financing, development, and management of commercial leasing, representing significant developers, retailers, financial institutions, lenders, or pension funds.
  • Previous experience in advising on the financing of real estate projects.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively on complex initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, capable of effectively advising clients and collaborating with project stakeholders.
