Position Overview:

We are in search of a seasoned Transportation Project Manager to enhance our Transportation Team at McIntosh Perry. This position offers a remarkable chance for a skilled professional to oversee transportation infrastructure initiatives, encompassing preliminary engineering, comprehensive design, tender preparation, construction services, and post-construction phases, particularly in collaboration with the Ministry of Transportation and Economic Corridors and local municipalities.

Qualifications:

  1. Completion of post-secondary education in civil engineering (Degree, technical diploma, or equivalent).
  2. A minimum of 7 years of experience in transportation and infrastructure projects.
  3. Proven track record in coordinating and managing project teams for transportation initiatives.
  4. Experience in guiding and mentoring project personnel.
  5. Strong understanding of Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Quality Management, along with Occupational Health and Safety practices and requirements.
  6. Demonstrated familiarity with Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors design guidelines and construction specifications.
  7. Possession of a valid driver's license and willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise the execution of Transportation and Infrastructure projects for Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors, municipalities, and other clients throughout the province, from design to construction.
  2. Prepare proposals, tender documents, project cost estimates, and monitor budgets while forecasting project expenses.
  3. Ensure timely completion of project deliverables.
  4. Coordinate, organize, and manage project staff activities throughout the phases of preliminary engineering, detailed design, contract preparation, construction, and post-construction.
  5. Provide expertise in construction and contract administration, along with leadership and mentorship to staff.
  6. Coordinate project requirements with environmental, geotechnical, utility relocation, and land acquisition disciplines and sub-consultants as necessary.
  7. Act as a liaison with clients, stakeholders, and the project team.
  8. Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all safety codes, guidelines, and regulations as part of our Health, Safety & Environmental management system.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned or required.
