Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team at SMS Equipment Inc. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for managing sales of new equipment within the domestic sales function. Your primary focus will be on personal sales targets, new business development, maintaining customer relationships, and troubleshooting on problem or key markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage sales of new equipment, collaborating with the Operations Manager to set quotas, implement sales action plans, and monitor economic trends and new product development.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts, budgets, and prospect reports.
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations, contracts, and proposals to customers.
  • Establish and build strong customer relationships, acting as a customer representative for SMS and focal point for communication between customer and SMS.
  • Assist customers in implementing equipment changes for improvement and reduced operating costs.
  • Ensure feedback of customer problems to SMS for solution development.
  • Develop regular call schedules and close relationships with customer staff at all levels.
  • Prepare informative written call reports using CRM.
Requirements
  • Typical level of education: undergraduate degree in engineering, marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong sales/engineering orientation with 5-7 years of experience in the mining/industrial industry.
  • Ambitious and aggressive, with a proactive approach to acquiring cutting-edge technology and best practices.
  • Computer literate and proficient in software applications required for job responsibilities.
  • Excellent abilities, including decision-making, good judgment, initiative, job attitude, dependability, innovation, and creativity.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deadlines.
