Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret engineering specifications, blueprints, and technical documents to determine the appropriate machining processes.
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances while accurately measuring and laying out workpieces.
- Set up, operate, and maintain various machine tools, including CNC equipment, to perform intricate machining tasks such as milling, turning, and drilling.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify product dimensions, ensuring adherence to specifications.
- Program and configure machine tools for use by operators, facilitating smooth operations.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including time control on components and equipment maintenance records.
- Report quality and operational concerns to the department supervisor to enhance workflow.
- Collaborate with internal teams to guarantee timely delivery of custom machined components.
- Apply expertise in mechanics, mathematics, and material properties to optimize machining procedures.
- Demonstrate knowledge of advanced machining techniques and materials used in research and development projects.
- Foster a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols while handling materials.
- Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Alibre design software is essential.
Qualifications: Candidates must possess a minimum of one year of experience as a machinist, with specific expertise in CNC programming. A completed secondary education or equivalent credential assessment is required. Completion of a two-year Electromechanical Engineering Technician program is advantageous. Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is necessary.
