About the RoleThe Challenge Course Manager will be responsible for providing leadership to our Challenge Course program, working in conjunction with our Outdoor Education team to deliver a safe and enjoyable experience for our participants. This includes providing training to staff, designing daily programming, and ensuring the maintenance of our equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide training to staff on challenge course activities and ensure they are equipped to deliver a safe and engaging experience.
- Design and deliver daily programming that incorporates the challenge by choice philosophy, ensuring participants have a complete learning experience.
- Inspect and maintain our challenge course equipment, ensuring it is safe and ready for use.
- Report any issues or concerns to the Director in a timely manner.
- Set an example for clients by demonstrating a positive and professional attitude, as well as maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Hold Level 2 certification from a challenge course professional trainer or be willing to obtain through the organization.
- Previous experience working with children or related age groups.
- Current certification in Standard First Aid and CPR C.
- A clear vulnerable sector Criminal Reference Check.
- Experience leading and training others in belaying technique.
