BentallGreenOak is seeking a highly motivated and organized Assistant Property Manager to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. As a key member of our property management team, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of our commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with accounting staff, tenants, building operators, and contractors to ensure seamless property management.
  • Conduct regular building inspections and document findings to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Oversee tenant surveys and analyze results to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Manage tenant contact information and ensure timely collection of insurance certificates.
  • Tender and administer operating contracts, and maintain contract summaries.
  • Assist in resolving emergency situations and ensure timely communication with stakeholders.
  • Monitor and follow up on tenant maintenance requests to ensure consistent service delivery.
  • Support sustainability initiatives and corporate social responsibility efforts.
  • Assist with tenant events and appreciation initiatives.

Requirements:

  • University degree or diploma in a related field (marketing, public relations, advertising, or business administration).
  • Minimum 5 years of marketing experience, preferably in a commercial real estate environment.
  • Working knowledge of graphic design software and basic/intermediate level graphic design capability.
  • Strong understanding of digital and social media strategy, and experience with developing or overseeing web-based content.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to allocate time effectively, work under pressure, and manage tight deadlines.
  • Aptitude with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, web development, social media applications, and graphic/publisher programs.
  • Advanced understanding of marketing and customer experience concepts as they relate to the property management industry.
  • Ability to interpret, organize, and analyze data, including financial data.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently (30%).
  • Police clearance required for employment.
