About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our team at Fourgons TRANSIT Truck Bodies. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet or exceed the quality requirements of our company and our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality standards and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer expectations.
  • Conduct quality audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues and implement process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and training materials.
  • Provide training and coaching to employees on quality-related topics and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality products and services.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline (Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Automation, etc.).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management, including 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally with products similar to truck boxes.
  • Understanding of schematics and/or technical drawings, and proficiency in using quality measurement equipment and tools.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Positive leadership expertise.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Essential bilingualism in French and English, both spoken and written.
