This position demands exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills to guarantee effective project execution within defined parameters.
Key Responsibilities
Essential Duties:
- Formulate and oversee detailed project plans, timelines, and financial allocations.
- Engage with stakeholders to clarify project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
- Track project advancement, pinpoint potential challenges, and apply corrective measures.
- Guide and support a diverse project team.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
- Establish quality assurance protocols to maintain high project delivery standards.
- Conduct periodic project evaluations and assessments.
- Administer project finances, monitor spending, and ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Compile and present financial summaries to stakeholders.
- Spot opportunities for cost reduction and process enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is advantageous.
- At least 7 years of experience in transportation project oversight.
- In-depth understanding of transportation infrastructure, including roadways, bridges, and public transit systems.
- Capability to perform effectively under pressure and manage various priorities.
