The University of Ottawa is seeking a highly skilled User Experience (UX) Design Expert to join our team as a Regular Part-Time Professor. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of UX design, as well as contributing to the development of our UX programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver UX courses and workshops that cater to the needs of our students and industry partners
  • Develop and maintain UX curricula that align with industry standards and best practices
  • Conduct research and stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in UX design
  • Mentor and advise students on UX-related projects and career paths
  • Collaborate with faculty members and industry partners to develop UX-related research projects and initiatives

Requirements

  • PhD in Psychology or a related field with a thesis in UX
  • 3-5 years of industry experience in UX design and evaluation
  • Expert knowledge of human-computer interaction theories and UX frameworks
  • Significant experience managing and mentoring multi-disciplinary UX projects
