Key Responsibilities:1. Human Resource Management- Facilitates all facets of Human Resource Management to achieve operational objectives effectively.
- Provides guidance and leadership to staff, ensuring the delivery of services and exceptional customer service.
- Incorporates volunteers into local operations and aids in the development and execution of volunteer recruitment, engagement, and retention strategies.
- Addresses internal staff performance issues promptly through investigation and follow-up with relevant Senior Leaders or Human Resources Representatives.
- Supports the formulation and oversees the execution of the Geography's Operational plans, aligning with the organization's strategic goals.
- Evaluates and interprets operational and organizational objectives and strategies.
- Implements strategies and policies in line with CRC's priorities, considering potential risks.
- Utilizes a comprehensive business perspective to enhance the performance and processes of the business unit.
- Assists in the development of the operational budget and guidelines.
- Manages operations within budget constraints and executes annual operating, marketing, and project plans.
- Engages in negotiations with Ministry of Health officials regarding Central Agency Charges and/or MOH funding.
- Monitors budgets, identifies variances, and proposes recommendations to enhance net revenue.
- Engages in relevant internal and external committees and networks, demonstrating leadership in the sector.
- Creates service delivery partnership agreements for senior staff review.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with referral and interfacing agencies to advocate for Red Cross and address system design and service coordination.
- Identifies trends and links business issues and opportunities impacting long-term objectives.
- Stays informed of legislative changes and communicates with key program leads and Senior Leadership Team as necessary.
- Ensures adherence to Quality Management practices, policies, and directives.
- Oversees the creation of quality monitoring tools, including benchmarking and process maps for each program.
- Conducts audits to ensure compliance with policies and legislation, providing recommendations for improvements.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in a relevant business or related field, or equivalent education and management experience.
- A minimum of five years' experience in a Not-for-Profit program/department or a combination of relevant education and experience.
- Proven experience leading cross-team projects and achieving successful change.
- Experience with a national, service-based, non-profit organization is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate effectively with teams.
- Understanding of CRC disaster response is beneficial.
- Familiarity with the community health care sector is a plus.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to foster productive relationships at all organizational levels.
- Proficient in computer and numerical literacy, with comfort in using databases and metrics.
- Fluency in English is essential; fluency in French is highly desirable.
- Work is conducted in a clean and professional environment.
- May require non-traditional hours and on-call availability.
- Travel between CRC offices may be necessary for meetings.
- Eligibility to work in Canada is required.
- Successful candidates will undergo a pre-employment screening process, including an Enhanced Police Information Check (E-PIC).
