About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bakery Production Manager to join our team at La Bosco Bakery & Cafe. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our bakery, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recipe Development: Create and implement new recipes for our baked goods, taking into account customer preferences and dietary restrictions.
  • Production Planning: Plan and coordinate the production of our baked goods, including ordering ingredients, managing inventory, and scheduling production runs.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that our products meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Team Management: Supervise and train our production team members, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are able to perform their duties to the highest standard.
  • Inventory Management: Manage our inventory of ingredients and supplies, ensuring that we have sufficient stock to meet customer demand.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a bakery or related industry
  • Work Setting: Bakery or cafe environment
  • Tasks: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders
  • Language: English
  • Work Hours: 30 to 44 hours per week
