About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Aide to join our team at the Northern Regional Health Authority. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Personal Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with Mobility: Help patients with walking, transferring, and using mobility aids.
  • Assist with Hygiene: Assist patients with toileting, incontinence care, and other hygiene-related tasks.
  • Assist with Medication: Assist patients with taking medication, as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Provide Emotional Support: Offer emotional support and companionship to patients, promoting a sense of well-being and comfort.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of a Health Care Aide program or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a long-term care facility or hospital.
  • Certifications: Possession of a valid Health Care Aide Certificate.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
