Occupational Therapist

Bethany Care Society is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life and optimizing the physical, cognitive, sensory, emotional, and social functions of our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' activities of daily living and develop personalized care plans to promote independence and well-being.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide adaptive equipment and occupational therapy programs that cater to the unique needs of each resident.
- Liaise with family members, acute care providers, and community resources to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Document resident progress and participation in care plans, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping.
- Supervise and direct Occupational Therapy Assistants to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent recognized by the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists.
- Previous experience in geriatrics and dementia care is preferred.
- Active registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists is required.
- Membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists and the Society of Alberta Occupational Therapists is preferred.
