Job Summary

Vancouver Northern Food Inc is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Production Labourer to join our team in a fast-paced food processing environment. As a Production Labourer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and adhering to strict food safety and quality control standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Safety and Handling: Maintain a high level of awareness and adherence to food safety protocols, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of food products.
  • Production Operations: Assist in the transportation of raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials, as well as operate machinery and equipment to support production processes.
  • Quality Control: Inspect products and packaging for basic quality defects and report any issues to supervisors.
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance: Clean and maintain equipment, machinery, and work areas to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with process control and machine operators to perform duties and achieve production goals.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in hot and cold/refrigerated environments.
  • Work Setting: Experience working in a food and beverage plant or meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Language: English language proficiency required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment an asset.
  • Reliability: Demonstrated reliability and punctuality.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
