Masonry Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Masonry Specialist to join our team at Scorpio Masonry BC Inc. as a Bricklayer. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and laying bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry units to provide a strong foundation for our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry units to ensure a stable and durable structure.
- Lay bricks, stone, or similar materials to provide a veneer facing for our construction projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints and sketches to calculate the materials required for each project.
- Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages to access and complete masonry work.
- Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools.
- Restore, clean, or paint existing masonry structures to maintain their integrity and appearance.
- Bricklayer Trade Certification or equivalent experience.
- Bricklayer Red Seal Certificate or equivalent experience.
- First Aid Certificate and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate are required.
- Fall Arrest Protection Training Course is a must.
- Basic security clearance is necessary.
The successful candidate will work in a physically demanding environment, handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, and kneeling. Steel-toed safety boots, a hard hat, and gloves are required.
Personal Qualities- Accurate and efficient interpersonal skills are essential.
