Diagnostic Imaging Technologist

Northumberland Hills Hospital is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging department, you will be responsible for performing various ultrasound examinations and working closely with medical staff to provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures with precision and accuracy
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure effective patient care
- Assist with interventional ultrasound procedures, including ultrasound-guided biopsies
- Participate in after-hours on-call rotation, responding to emergencies and critical situations
- Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) and good standing
- Membership with Sonography Canada
- Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills
- Proven good attendance record and ability to maintain it
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
- Respond professionally in high-stress situations
- Previous experience working in a hospital setting
- Recent related EPIC experience/electronic documentation in a hospital setting
- Previous experience working with a Picture Archive Communication System (PACS), Hospital Information system (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS)
Successful applicants must provide a satisfactory vulnerable sector criminal reference check and complete the Health Care Worker Health review process, including providing an up-to-date immunization record. Northumberland Hills Hospital operates a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all staff.
