Diagnostic Imaging Technologist

Northumberland Hills Hospital is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist, you will be responsible for performing various ultrasound examinations, working closely with medical staff, and assisting with interventional ultrasound procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations
  • Work closely with medical staff to ensure accurate diagnoses
  • Assist with interventional ultrasound procedures, including ultrasound-guided biopsies
  • Participate in after-hours on-call rotation, responding to emergencies within 30 minutes
Requirements:
  • Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) and good standing
  • Membership in Sonography Canada
  • Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
  • Respond professionally in high-stress situations
Assets:
  • Previous experience working in a hospital setting
  • Recent related EPIC experience/electronic documentation in a hospital setting
  • Previous experience working with a Picture Archive Communication System (PACS), Hospital Information system (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS)
