Job Overview

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and oversight to technicians and internal service personnel.
  • Ensure that technicians and support staff receive training on compliance, operational procedures, and performance expectations;
  • Conduct field assessments to assist, instruct, and evaluate technicians.
  • Review reports and documentation submitted by technicians to ensure adherence to regulatory and company standards.
  • Manage workflow expectations both internally with staff and externally with clients.
  • Regularly inspect technicians' vehicles to ensure proper maintenance.
  • Ensure technicians are effectively scheduled and performing to meet revenue and margin objectives set by management.
  • Foster strong working relationships with all company personnel as necessary.
  • Provide leadership and support in upholding Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) policies, documentation, and conducting audits and training.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Fire Alarm sector.
  • CFAA / ASTT Certification is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Provincial codes and referenced Standards, including Fire and Building codes, CSA, CAN/ULC, and NFPA standards.
  • Post-Secondary diploma or degree in building systems, electronic technology, or equivalent knowledge/work experience is an asset.
  • Proficient knowledge of Edwards Fire Products, particularly EST panels, is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills are essential.
  • A valid provincial driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
  • Previous supervisory experience in a unionized setting is advantageous.
